Spotlight Newsletter | World Water Day 2021

This year, the theme of World Water Day – and of this special issue – was ‘valuing water’, a major research strand in the Hub. As the world continues to grapple with COVID-19, this timely theme once again reminded us that while values are complex and difficult to untangle, we cannot leave this discussion to those in power and risk leaving the most marginalised behind. 

The issue of values is enmeshed in all aspects of the Hub's work and made explicit in workstream 4, which responds to the need to realise the full social, economic, and environmental value of water security. We hope you enjoy this celebration of the multidimensional value of water.
