Global water security is threatened by conflict, pollution, extreme weather, over-abstraction of groundwater, ecosystem damage, gender inequalities, uncontrolled urbanisation, and poor governance. These are complex issues that cannot be tackled in isolation.  The Hub brings together an international team to address these through a systems approach that recognises the interdependencies between people, institutions, finance, infrastructure, and the natural environment.

This newsletter, like so many, starts with COVID-19: a crisis that starkly demonstrates the centrality of water security to public health – the provision of which is foundational to our economy, environment, and society.
